ABOUT
The Center for the Study of Nepal, Faculty of Social Sciences, Banaras Hindu University is established by University Grants Commission under its Area Study Programme in 1976. Initially it was devoted to the study of only Nepal. In course of time, the area of study was extended to include Trans-Himalayan Region vis-�-vis Study of Nepal, to understand the Indian subcontinent in its totality. It further wishes to extended the agenda to cover the whole South Asian Region for understanding. Nepal and Trans-Himalayan Region in further larger perspective.
