Void
Updated: Mar 11
In midst of a deafning silence.
Injured in a bloodless violence.
I feel no pain, no more.
Perhaps it’s gloom, I now adore.
Floating in the great ocean of void.
Lost my smile, neither have I cried.
I lay still, paddles at rest.
My hands across my chest.
Inside is a heart that does not feel
No love, no pain, no desire to ever heal.
I am lost in my empty boat all alone.
A strange feeling, I have never known.
What do you call it?
Numbness?
Emptiness?
When you’re lost in the great ocean of void
Accompanied only by hopelessness!
